Handover & Ownership
Last updated:
MIVAO wants you to own and run your website with confidence. This page describes what is handed over and how ownership is clarified; the final details are set out in the contract.
This page describes how MIVAO currently operates and may be updated once the business’s legal details are finalized. The contract signed with each client takes precedence.
1. Source code
- Once payment is complete, the source code is handed over via a repository or an archive file as agreed.
- Rights to use and own the source code are stated clearly in the contract.
- Open-source libraries are used under their own licences.
2. Domain
- We recommend registering the domain in the name of your business and keeping the admin account yourself.
- MIVAO can help configure DNS when given temporary access.
3. Hosting and service accounts
- Hosting and services (email, analytics, booking tools) are created under your accounts or transferred to you at handover.
- Login details are handed over through a secure channel; you should change passwords after receiving them.
4. Documentation and guidance
- A guide to updating content (when the scope includes a CMS).
- A list of accounts, third-party services and related recurring costs.
- Basic technical documentation so another team can continue development.
5. Customer data on your website
You are responsible for the personal data your website collects (for example, contact or booking forms). MIVAO only accesses this data when needed for technical support and within the agreed scope.
6. Warranty and care
After handover, confirmed bugs are fixed during your package’s warranty period (30 or 60 days). After that, you can run the site yourself or choose a MIVAO Care plan: Care Lite (VND 490,000/month), Care Business (VND 790,000/month) or Automation Care (VND 1,490,000–2,490,000/month + usage costs).
7. When we stop working together
MIVAO hands back any remaining access and removes its own access to your systems.
